Finding True Connection and Stability Within

Finding True Connection and Stability Within.

It's not what you do that makes you tired, it's how you do it.

Are you feeling mentally exhausted lately?

The thing is, it's not often the work we do that makes us tired, it's the thinking we do.

Thinking will tire you faster than actual work.

You will feel more energized after a 2 mile run, compared to sitting in a place mulling over something that happened yesterday.

For instance, chess players, burn up to 6000 calories in a single day when they play a tournament.

That's how much energy the brain consumes when it thinks!

This is why most of us feel tired after a bout of over-thinking.

Once we are tired, a lot of negative things can happen.

We can escape into unhealthy habits, lose our temper easily, or make costly mistakes.

The way to energize yourself, is to think less.

And the way to think less, is you guessed it, feel more.

If you are thinking, you are not feeling, and when you're feeling, you're not thinking.

4 Ways to Think Less, and Save Energy

1) Refuse the urgency

Most of our stress comes from accepting the deadlines and rules imposed by others.

Sometimes its at work, sometimes its self-created urgency.

Refusing to live in urgency is an important decision to get back your power from society.

You might say, "I can't do it. I can't refuse workplace urgency. I'll lose my job"

Well, that's why there is stress. Perhaps you should not have this job then.

It's never worth your mental health.

Once you commit to rejecting fake urgency put by others, you'll begin to think of creative ways to communicate your truth and get better deadlines.

If it's your own self-created urgency, say to yourself, "Is this really that important, or am I making it so? If it is, I better do it in a calm state of mind. If its not important, why not do it in a calm state of mind?"

This will help reduce the false urgency and create space in thinking.

2) Build Pockets of Stillness in your day

Practice the BLISS Meditation (Breathing, Listening, Immersing, Seeing, Smelling) in the mornings.

Practicing this daily—even for 5 minutes each—teaches us to step out of our mind and into our body.

Throughout the day, we can go back to this practice, and find that space we need.

🧘🏼‍♂️ Every 3 hours, close your eyes for 5 mins.

If that's too long, close your eyes for 10.

3) Stay Physically Active.

Movement anchors you in the present.

When you engage your body—whether through walking, stretching, or even mindful breathing, you naturally disrupt the cycle of overthinking.

Physical activity isn’t just about fitness; it’s a way to shift energy. A short walk, a few deep stretches, or even standing up and shaking off tension can bring immediate relief from mental exhaustion.

When the mind is stuck in loops, the body can lead the way out.

So, when in doubt, move. Let your body guide you back to presence.

Where do you struggle most with inner connection?

4) Try Easy, not Hard

Effort doesn’t have to mean struggle.

When you force your way through a problem, you create resistance.

But when you relax into the process, solutions often arise naturally.

Think of how a river flows around obstacles—it doesn’t fight them, it moves with ease. The same applies to your mind and body.

Instead of pushing harder, ease into the moment. Breathe, soften, and then take action.

Most breakthroughs don’t happen through force.

They happen when you stop gripping so tightly, and allow a creative insight to be born.

How do you stop overthinking?

Let me know by replying.
